Revive Art & Craft Supply, a Creative Reuse Store, to Open May 16 in Middletown with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Revive Art & Craft Supply, a women-owned creative reuse center, is excited to announce its grand opening at 149 William Street in Middletown, Connecticut on Thursday, May 16 at 2:00 PM. The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and will mark the launch of a new community resource aimed at inspiring creativity, reducing waste, and supporting local makers.
Revive Art & Craft Supply’s mission is to give second life to donated art and craft materials, such as fabric, yarn, paper, paints, buttons, and more, by rescuing quality supplies from closets, craft rooms, and storage units, and making them affordable and accessible to the community - ultimately keeping these useful materials out of landfills.
"At Revive, we are all about supporting the local artist community by accepting donations of new to lightly used supplies and then giving them new life by offering them back to creators," said Kate Slomkowski, co-owner of Revive Art & Craft Supply. "Creativity shouldn’t be cost-prohibitive or wasteful. By connecting preloved supplies with local artists, educators, and DIYers, we’re not just building a store—we're investing in the creative future of Middletown and the surrounding counties."
Located in a thriving arts hub near Wesleyan University, Revive Art & Craft Supply aims to be more than a store — it aspires to be a third space: a welcoming environment where makers of all ages and backgrounds can gather, explore, and create.
"We are setting up Revive to act as a community-driven solution to two challenges: reducing material waste and making creativity more accessible," said Brianna Bergamo, co-owner and creator of Revive Art & Craft Supply. "When people donate to Revive, they're not just cleaning out a closet—they're supporting a cycle of creativity, reuse, and connection."
Revive’s grand opening event is free and open to the public. Attendees can explore the shop, meet the founders, learn how to donate materials, and find affordable treasures to inspire their next masterpiece.
